Aqaar ("real estate" in Arabic) is the government corporation of the Emirate of Ajman responsible for real estate development and management. It was established in 2016 under Emiri Decree No. 9 issued by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi (Ruler of Ajman and member of the Supreme Council), merging two earlier government entities — the Department of Private Properties (1999) and Real Estate Investments Public (2002). Its mandate: to lead, restructure and regulate the real estate sector in Ajman.
